The Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) is the only industrial body representing the country's wind turbine manufacturers, providing a single contact point for policy makers at national and state level, regulators and utilities. IWTMA's main objective is to promote wind energy in India, facilitate the extension of knowledge in the field and interact with national and global energy bodies.

IWTMA is a founding member of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC)
alongside other national and regional associations including the European Wind Energy Association and the American Wind Energy Association.

  
   IWTMA is represented on all Committees, Councils and Advisory groups constituted by the
  • Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE),

  • CWET
  • and others, including financial institutions like
  • IREDA.
  •   To promote green power and harness wind energy in the country.
      To propogate that this alternative energy will prevent global warming and climate change.
      Active participation with policy makers such as regulators, utilities and other nodal agencies to bring
    about investor friendly policies.
      Offer state-of-the-art technology to maximize power generation.
      To promote positive social impact in rural areas by direct and indirect employment.
